School, Camp & BBall 4 Ty

Even though Tyson only visits the Tonganoxie MS for "elective" classes such as art, band, shop, etc. he still made the 1st semester honor roll (see newspaper article here). He continues to enjoy his virtual school too ... where he takes his math, science, history, etc. on the computer at home. If he could do his schooling on a mobile phone he'd probably do that as well.

The Boy Scouts try to shoot for one camp out a month ... even when the wind is blowing. Friday night was one of those nights. Despite 40 mph wind gusts, Tyson and a few other 12-13 year old scouts camped in the backyard of one of the leaders. Enough marshmallows were consumed to weigh down the tent.

The next morning, they joined several other 12-13 year old boys and girls from the church for a basketball clinic and tournament. Three exhilarating hours of watching uncoordinated, vertically-challenged youth shooting at a 10-foot hoop. If you want proof of the excitement, check out the one minute clip below. A one time viewing will probably be sufficient. For reference purposes, Tyson wore a blue #14 jersey.
